Somebody asked me what it costs to charge an electric car. I gave them a number, then realized I'd lied. Not on purpose. There just isn't one number. Home charging in BC is 10 to 14 cents a kWh. The superchargers I actually stopped at this year were 27 to 34 cents. Same car, same kWh, 2 to 3 times the price depending on where I was standing. And the part I genuinely can't tell you: my own home charging. One meter for the whole apartment, the car's in there with the fridge and the dryer. Nobody charging at home actually knows.
